Fr. Olvera was raised in Columbus, Ohio and served as a middle school mathematics teacher for the past 17 years in Jacksonville, Florida and Hilliard, Ohio. He holds a teaching license in elementary education with certification in middle school mathematics and a bachelor’s degree
from The Ohio State University. He also is a licensed principal having obtained a master’s degree from OSU. After discerning a call to the priesthood, Fr. Olvera attended and earned a Master of Divinity from Pope St. John XXIII National Seminary in Weston, MA.
