YOUTH REPORT: May 5
th was the Youth Group year-end dinner with mothers, in celebration of Mother’s Day, with activities and games. There was a great turnout. There will be a Protecting God’s Children Diocese Audit on Thursday June 6
th.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: Knight of the Month: Father Homer Blubaugh. Father Blubaugh was ordained on May 24
th1969 and is celebrating 50 years of Priesthood. He is a remarkable man and remarkable Priest. He is tireless in his service to God, St. Luke, its parishioners, the Knox and Coshocton Consortium as a whole. He has a singular focus of serving God and the Church through serving other people. He has never been afraid to help, day or night. Father Blubaugh supports the Knights Council #910 as the Chaplain and he says Mass at almost all of our special events.
Family of the Month: Bob and Joy Blubaugh. Both are strongly grounded in the Catholic Faith as well as their commitment to St. Luke. Bob is a 4
th Degree Knight and Council 910 Program Director. He is also involved with the Color Guard. He is a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. Bob and Joy are Ushers and support the Fish Fries. Joy has volunteered at the Thrift Shop and Meals on Wheels. She was also involved in RCIA and volunteered for the Danville Schools. Bob taught at Danville for 13 years and coached football. Bob and Joy truly exemplify a Knight of Columbus Catholic Family. Congratulations!

rd Degree meeting will be an Officers Meeting for next year’s calendar planning. Please let us know if there are any key dates with your organization we should consider in our planning.
Thank you for your generosity – the July Support our Seminarians total was $141.57. The Fiscal Year total was $2029.74 – “Thank You” again!

PARISH COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN: No new report.
DEANERY REPORT: No new report.
MAINTENANCE: A faulty pew was repaired. The Paschal Candle was adjusted/repaired. The new water heater was wired, as well as the new cameras. The bushes were trimmed. The skylights were caulked, and the railing that had been welded was touched up. The PA system is still being worked on.
The 2020 Renovations Committee The dates of work and their time frames are being discussed. More headway is expected in June.
COMMUNITY LIFE: The recent graduates and their families were served a brunch. The Fire Department will be hosting a 5K Run/Walk on June 16
th2019 at 10:00am, followed by a Chicken BBQ lunch at 11:00am. It will be held at the Danville Memorial Park. There will be Blue Grass band(s) present also.
The St. Luke’s Festival is July 13
th from 5-9pm. There will be a Beer & Brat Garden this year as well as a Live and Silent Auction. There will be a BBQ chicken dinner, a DJ taking dollar donations for requested songs, and there will be at least (1) Bouncy House for the little ones. Please come and have a good time!
SOCIAL CONCERNS: June is National Hunger Awareness Month.

nd Annual Diocesan Senior Citizens Celebration is taking place at St. Mary Church, 61 S. Paint Street, Chillicothe. Our new Bishop, Robert J Brennan will celebrate Mass at 10:30am, followed by a luncheon. This annual event is a great opportunity for prayer, food, and fellowship with Senior Citizens from the 23-county Catholic Diocese of Columbus. St. Mary’s Church in Chillicothe is beautifully renovated and full of history. It is located in Ohio’s first capital city. The parish of St. Mary’s and our office are working to make a great day for all who attend. St. John Neumann will be having their Festival on June 21
st(6:00-11:00pm), and 22
nd (5:00pm-11:00pm) at 9633 E. State Route 37 in Sunbury.
The Holy Trinity Garden Party will have a Festival on June 28
th (6:00-Midnight), and 29
th (4:00-Midnight) at 225 S. Columbus Street, Somerset.
EDUCATION: Calendars for PSR, Confirmation Class, and Youth Group are currently being put together. Confirmation is June 3
rd 2020 at St. Luke. We will be contacting teachers to confirm that they will be working with the Youth next year. There will be a meeting in June for parishioners interested in assisting with Confirmation Class. Thank you to Amy Mickley for her recent donation of books and supplies that will benefit PSR, Confirmation Class, and Youth Group!
BEREAVEMENT: There have been no deaths in our immediate parish family in the past month, however, Tammy Harrmann’s brother, Robert Franks, died unexpectedly May 25
th. Please keep the family in your prayers during this difficult time. The meeting with Father Olvera originally scheduled for May 16
th, has been re-scheduled to June 6
th. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the possibility of implementing a Bereavement Ministry at St. Vincent. Lynn Miller currently has orders for (4) Memory Bears which she is working on.
WORSHIP: Priest assignments are complete Father Hammond and Father Olvera will be staying at their current locations. On July 6
th and 7
th Father Peter Asantebwana will speak. Seminarian David Johnstone will be at Mass this coming weekend.
