St. Luke Parish Council Minutes
May 4, 2015
Present: Fr. Hammond, Vic Campanelli, Tom Harrmann, Tammy Harrmann, Bobbie Thomas, Dave Rashley, Marie Holland, Roger Holland, Don Hawk, Marcia Durbin, Regina Quinn II, Amy Mickley.
Absent: John Higgins, Monica Blanchard, Joanna Mickley
Call to order: President Vic Campanelli
Opening Prayer: Led by Father Hammond
Approval of Minutes: Motion to approve April minutes as written. Motion passed.
Youth Group: Amy Mickley reported that a meeting was held with high school students and their parents on April 19th regarding new youth group/program that will be rolled out. Packets of information were sent home to be filled out and returned. There are a few events planned for this summer. Amy and Theresa Morris will be going to Arizona in June for training for Life Teen, which is the program being used.
Squires: No report
Knights of Columbus: We would like to recognize and congratulate Pat Mickley as the April Knight of the Month. Pat has consistently been key in preparing the Friday Fried Fish Dinner for many years. Our thanks to Pat for his support of the Knights of Columbus and St. Luke Parish! We would also like to recognize and congratulate Liz and Jerry Mickley as the Family of the Month. Liz supports St. Luke Parish in many areas, Jerry is also key in preparation of the Friday Fried Fish Dinner. Our thanks to both Liz and Jerry for all your support of the Knights of Columbus and St. Luke Parish! The Knights would like to thank the PCCW and all who attended the recent Mother Daughter Breakfast. The event was very well attended and enjoyed by all. Happy Mother’s Day! The Knights of Columbus annual State Convention will be held this year in Cincinnati on Friday, Saturday and Sunday of Memorial Day weekend. The Knights annual Measure Up Campaign was held in Danville on Saturday May 2nd to help disabled children. Through the generosity of the community over $1000 was raised this year. Thank you!
PCCW: Held meeting Monday April 27th. Still sending out cards. Scholarship applications have been sent to seniors and need to be returned before May 15. $300.00 was donated to Royal Kids Camp. Thank you to the K of C for preparing & serving the Mother Daughter Banquet. The banquet went well with 130 mothers and daughters present. The style show clothing was provided by Blonde Robin. Bloodmobile will be June 22. Will be buying flower pots for outside of church. Next meeting will be in September and will be the Harvest Auction.
Deanery Report: Meeting next week.
Maintenance: Will be working on freshening up the current playground equipment and may add some new pieces. Will get a border in place and get mulch laid. Flagstone has been replaced in front of church steps. Quality Restoration has completed work on the church and center. Gravel has been placed in the upper parking lot. Railing should be getting done soon.
Finance and Administration: Finances are good at this time. Hoping for a successful BAA.
Community Life: Will be having Pictorial directory sign ups in June after Masses. Will take pictures June 29, 30 and July 1st 2:30-9pm. More pictures will be taken July 24 & 25 2:30-9pm, and Saturday July 26 from 10am-4pm. Dan & Mary Sullivan are concerned about roses not doing well and will move them up next to the center and see if they do better. Will be making noodles for the festival.
Social concerns: May is Mental Health Month
Education: School year is ending; closing will be May 6 with May Crowning. PSR will start again in mid to late September. First Holy Communion will be held May 17. Graduates will be honored at Mass on June 7 will a brunch afterward.
Worship: We will have a Missionary Priest the weekend of July 11-12.
Safe Environment: Regina Quinn II has resigned.

Agenda Items: Parish Festival chairs are working on finalizing plans. Baskets for the auction will be given out in June and need to be returned by the first weekend in July. Please do the survey ASAP if not already done. This is important to help guide the festival for the future. Can be done on line at www.stlukedanvilleoh.org, or paper copies available at the side entrance of church. Danville School Service Day is May 18th volunteers needed to help weed and mulch flower beds.
