I would also like to thank Barb Blubaugh and Meralyse Dessert for preparing the students during the school year and getting them ready for receiving this sacrament. Also thank you to Rochelle Adam for the music. We hope to have information to the teachers and parents by mid-August on the status of having Youth Group and PSR in the center.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: Due to a lack of interest and participation we are continuing our plans to dissolve the St. Luke Squire Circle. The July 3rd Degree Meeting will be an officers planning meeting for next year activities. We plan to recognize our awardees when the Diocese Guidance allows. Our continued appreciation for St. Luke Parish’s generosity for Support Our Seminarians.
Support Our Seminarians July donations were $154.54. Thank you!

RESPECT LIFE: July 19-25th is National Natural Family Planning week. Visit the diocesan website for webinars/more information.
BEREAVEMENT: Richard Rieman, a member of the parish, husband of Janice, passed away June 12. Other deaths with parish connections include Sam C. Shults, who passed away May 29, and Darryl Brown, the father of Ed and Becky Gardner’s grandchildren, passed away June 8. Please keep these families in prayer. Lynn Miller has completed 4 Memory Bears. Arrangements to deliver them are being made. While it is still too early to know exactly where we will stand regarding effects of Covid-19, plans are underway for our third Memorial Gathering, should we be granted permission to stage the event. We were recently blessed with an anonymous donation of $50.00 to the Ministry. Because of the generosity of the individuals who have given us money in memory of their loved ones, and contributions of members of the Bereavement Ministry, we have been blessed to be able to purchase one of the Stations of the Cross for our Church. We are excited to welcome Beth Sapp as a new member of our ministry.
WORSHIP: The Church is looking into opening some Adoration times as well as considering “At-Home Adoration” times as a new possibility.
SAFETY:System Status Report All cameras, remote door lock releases and the side door pin lock are working. Wi-Fi, no issues for cameras or office use. Mass Facebook streaming and Center Simulcasting is running. We are however working to address static issues on the broadcast. Thank you to Ed Gardner for all your help in the system set up. The Hearing Loop is running without issue. If there are any questions regarding the system use, please contact Ed Gardner. We would like to recognize and thank all who have volunteered to usher and clean pews. We currently have 27 ushers volunteering. Thank you for all your time and effort! We are continuing to add ushers if you are interested. Please contact Sandy, Jane, or Dave Rashley.
FINANCE: The budget for the upcoming Fiscal Year is complete and all continues to be well. The Bishop’s Annual Appeal starts this weekend and all parishioners are encouraged to help replenish funds depleted by the Renovations – Thank You!
Miscellaneous Notes: The new church sound system is in its last stages of approval. A digital piano is being ordered for the choir loft – expense was approved by the Council. Organ repair is still being looked into. The Maintenance Committee is looking over the cemetery for future repairs by Ralston. The possible project of a “Telephone Team” to reach out to every parishioner is in its beginning stages – we will be looking for a large number of volunteers for this in the future. A delivery system of Communion to those who cannot attend Mass is also being considered – very tentative.
