YOUTH REPORT: December 8
th Kris Kringle from 11-1pm. Invitation (letter) will be given to front office this week to be mailed out. Attendees must RSVP due to food and craft.
KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS: Family of the Month: Mark and LuAnn Latorre. They have been married 42 years and have attended St. Luke for 10 years. Dedicated to their Catholic Faith, they are actively supporting this year’s Confirmation Class. Mark is a 4
th Degree Knight and Controller for Assembly 2970. He is a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. Both Mark and LuAnn actively support the Fish Fries and Pancake Breakfasts and Turkey Dinner. Their support of the Knights of Columbus and St. Luke Parish is greatly appreciated. Congratulations!
Knight of the Month: Our newest Knight, Frank Meravy. He joined the Knights within the last Year. He is active with Fish Fry, Pancake Breakfast, Adopt-a-Highway Pick up, this year’s Awards Ceremony and Officers Installation. He has been willing to help wherever he is needed. Frank’s dedication to the KofC and help at St. Luke is very much appreciated. Thank you and congratulations!

PARISH COUNCIL OF CATHOLIC WOMEN: The Chalk Party went great. Sunday November 10
th is the Craft Show from 11-2 with 35 vendors. December 11
th is the children’s Christmas Party.
DEANERY REPORT: No new report. The next Deanery Meeting is on November 13
th in Granville.
MAINTENANCE: The new sidewalk is complete. The car stops and side steps were painted. The new awning has been installed. There is a new closer on the side door. Miscellaneous repairs in the Center were completed. The wiring for the new security system is in. The new church speaker system will be installed in the near future. Separate Note - Contact Dave Rashley if you have any questions about operating the new system in the Center.
The 2020 Renovations Committee There was a pre-construction meeting. The committee is waiting to hear back from the Bishop on approval(s).
COMMUNITY LIFE: The food for the Marriage Dinner was prepared and served. There were 60 adults and 14 children. The Turkey Dinner went wonderfully, with super volunteers - Around 400 people were served. The Christmas baskets will be started soon. The Father Lamy award will continue this year. There will be no Ministries Party this year because of renovations beginning in January.
SOCIAL CONCERNS: November is Alzheimer Disease Awareness Month and American Diabetes Month. November 20
th from 12-1 is the Brown Bag Chat at the Public Library of Mount Vernon. It will be a discovery of how music and art can be tools for healing and decolonization among first nation artists.
The Alzheimer’s Association has also collaborated with the Fredericktown Community Library to provide monthly educational programs. They are free to the public and will offer information on all stages of Alzheimers and give guidance on legal and financial issues in relationship to the disease. They will also provide a better understanding of how to communicate and understand the behaviors of a person suffering from Alzheimers. Call Tessa Clark at 419-546-0355 for more information.

th is Thanksgiving Day. Give thanks to God for our many blessings. Keep farmers, farmworkers, and people working in the Food Industry in prayer.
RESPECT LIFE: The March for Life is Friday, January 24
th, 2020. Hotel rooms and buses are being reserved. Please see the St. Luke Facebook page for updates and videos about the March or ask Shelby Mickley.
EDUCATION:Confirmation students served at the Turkey Dinner. There was alot of positive feedback from community on how well they served (friendly and kept busy). Sponsor names and Saint selection due by November 17th.
Reminder that service hours, adoration hours, and Mass attendance is critical to completion of requirements prior to May 2020.
PSR: November 17th - 9:00am to 10:00am -Teacher meeting for PSR, Youth Group, and Confirmation
November 23rd - 9:30am to 11:00am - Reconciliation Retreat for 2nd graders
December 4th -
Penance Service will begin at 6:00pm. Students will go to confession before adults, then they will go to their classrooms. Parents will pick up students at 7:30pm as usual.

December 18th - Practice for Christmas Eve pageant
BEREAVEMENT: No parish deaths were reported in October. Most of the ministry’s time between now and December 6
th will be spent preparing for the 2019 Memorial Gathering. A total of 53 Invitations representing 106 recipients have been mailed with an RSVP date of November 15
th.
A brief meeting was held October 31
st with those participating in the Bereavement Ministry.
Lynn Miller has requests pending for 5 “Memory Bears”. She has also been asked to create a pillow reflecting the idea of the bears. She has agreed to fashion a pillow, either square or oblong to satisfy the request.
We have recently been blessed with another donation to the ministry.
WORSHIP: The Penance Service is December 4
th at 6:00pm.
SAFETY: The new security system has a timeline for Installation. A Grant from the Catholic Foundation was received.
General Awareness: Deter, Detect and Defend Identity theft. Be smart when you park. Drive for life. Travel safe, not sorry.
FINANCE: All is in good standing.
NEW BUSINESS: The Missal Covers will be replaced after the 2020 Renovations. Three NEW Parish Council
